Our family-run, 3-star hotel is calmly situated in the small village centre of Racines and is the ideal starting-point for a pleasant hiking and skiing holiday.
In winter you can reach the cable car in just a few minutes by foot, which will directly take you to the snowy ski area of Racines-Giovo. For hikers and mountain bikers, enjoyable forest and walking trails start right in front of our hotel. The nearby Passo di Pennes and Passo di Monte Giovo transform motorcycling into a unique experience. The city of Vipiteno, 12 km from Racines, is reachable in a few minutes by car or directly by bus, which stops just some metres from Hotel Schölzhorn.

· Prices are intended per person and night incl. half board with minimum stay of 7 nights.
· In addition to the total price of the stay, a tourist tax of 2,90 € per person and night will be charged directly on site for all guests over 14 years of age.
· Rates for kids staying in the room with 2 adult persons:

Deposit
Your booking becomes binding upon receipt of the deposit, which implies that you accept our booking terms and conditions. The deposit can be withheld as a cancellation fee.
Check-In / Check-Out
On the day of arrival your room will be available from 3 p.m.
On the day of departure, we ask you to leave your room by 10 a.m.
Pets
We welcome your four-legged friends on request.
Children
Our little guests can let off steam outdoors on our kid´s playground with trampoline, slide, table tennis, sandpit and small playing meadow. If the weather does not permit playing outside, a children's playroom with table football and dartboard is available. On request we provide our families with a baby cot, baby phone and baby highchair free of charge.
Parking
You can park your car free of charge on our own parking in the neighborhood.
Smokers
According to Italian law, smoking is forbidden in our hotel and therefore also in our rooms. You are welcome to smoke on our sun terrace, on our sunbathing area, or in the external heated smoking room.
Travel insurance
You have already planned your whole stay and suddenly something unexpected occurs... That is why we recommend stipulating a travel insurance.
Cancellation conditions
We apply the general cancellation terms and conditions which you can check on your reservation confirmation. In case of late arrival, early departure or no-show we charge 80% of the total price.
Wellness area
Our new indoor swimming pool is open for you daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
You can use the sauna area (Finnish sauna, steam bath, herbal sauna, infrared cabin) and the whirlpool from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Note the access times for children.

Only a few steps from our hotel, the cable car takes you to the hiking paradise of Racines. The Racines Mountain Adventure World for families starts directly at the cable car station. Only 3 minutes walking distance from our hotel, the snowy and sunny family ski area Racines-Giovo is welcoming you. You will find plenty of different slopes, modern lifts, an adventurous snow park and a wonderful kids' skiing paradise. If you feel like taking a short break from the slopes, you can pamper yourself with some delicious traditional dishes in one of the numerous mountain huts.
Sledging
Ready, set and go! In proximity there are plenty of sledging trails of different length and difficulties. The most famous one is the 5 km long natural toboggan run in the skiing area of Racines, which is especially popular among families.

The perfectly prepared cross-country ski run in Racines and the panoramic high-altitude circuit “Platschjoch” offer ideal conditions for beginners and professionals. The 12 km high-altitude trail takes you up to over 1,800 m above sea level and offers you a spectacular mountain view. A pure paradise for cross-country enthusiasts!
For the entire duration of your stay, you obtain in our hotel a free cross-country skiing pass for the area of Racines.
